The oval shells themselves are crafted on site using our signature, and sustainably sourced milk, dark and white Belgium chocolate, beautifully tempered by our expert chocolatiers. This gives the chocolates their stunning shiny exterior and deliciously chocolate-y ‘bite’. The top is decorated with an ornate cocoa-butter design for an exquisite finish.
The filling of these delicious, best-selling rhubarb gin and ginger truffles is made using a blend of our signature creamy, smooth white chocolate and fresh dairy cream sourced from local cows. The filling is flavoured with a liberal splash of Rhubarb Gin from Shakespeare's Distillery and rhubarb and ginger essential oils. Each centre is piped while still warm into its milk, dark or white chocolate shell and left to cool. Once the ganache has cooled, the centres are sealed with a layer of chocolate.
The final stage is for the chocolates to be lovingly packaged and sent to you. Each bag contains a mixture of truffles in milk, dark and white chocolate shells.
We are proud that this is a plastic-free product. The clear, Natureflex bags in which your truffles arrive can be responsibly disposed of in household waste, where, over time, it will degrade without harm to the environment. Weight: each bag (containing 8 truffles) has a net weight of approximately 80 g. The clear bags are made from Natureflex (plant-based), hand-tied with raffia and with a card tag.
Storage: All truffle products are delivered with at least a 4 week shelf life. Store at room temperature, away from direct heat or sunlight.
