The tradition of gingerbread people/men at Christmas goes back centuries, to Queen Elizabeth I who handed out gingerbread men to visiting royal nobels and foreign guests. Ornately decorated gingerbread houses, however, originate from Germany in the 1800s when bakers started making them styled on the popular Hansel and Gretel tale. Nowadays gingerbread men, houses and kits to make them are ubiquitous on Christmas highstreets.
These are our cute, classic, all chocolate take on the gingerbread character. Moulded by hand in our Warwickshire kitchen from nothing but the best high-cocoa, ethically sourced chocolate there's absolutely no nasties in these- we even have an entirely plant-based option available.
Each gingerbread family comes carefully and lovingly presented in a clear lidded selection box (the clear lid, card base and plastic tray can be recycled in your home recycling) hand tied with ribbon, all ready for giving.
Plastic-free, Suitable for those on a vegetarian diet.
Ingredients (milk, milk and white): cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, whole MILK powder, emulsifier: SOY lecithin, natural vanilla flavouring
