Limited Edition! Honey & almond chocolate pralines
For those of you in the know, the Chief Chocolate Taster has a passion for ancient history- more ancient Greece than Rome, but it still got us thinking... back then there were no artificial preservatives, flavouring or any of the modern 'nasties': it was pure and simple real ingredients. And yet, they still enjoyed their food- the Romans were renowned for their feasts and banquets (or so we were led to be believe during high school Latin lessons many, many years ago- perhaps Latin lessons have changed??).
Dulcia Domestica is one of the oldest sweet treats with the recipe found in the 4th/5th century collection Apicius - De re coquinaria VII: 13. 1: honey and almond stuffed dates.
Our current honey and almond chocolate pralines are inspired by this recipe and they really are lush.

The final stage is for the chocolates to be lovingly packaged and sent to you.
Nutty, Suitable for those on a vegetarian diet.
Ingredients: sugar, cocoa butter, whole MILK powder, cocoa mass, emulsifier: SOY lecithin, natural vanilla flavouring, ALMONDS, HAZELNUTS, shimmer powder, honey, maltodextrin.
Allergens: HAZELNUTS, ALMOND, MILK, SOY.
May contain traces of other nuts and other allergens which both ourselves and our suppliers use in other products.
Weight: each bag (containing 6 pralines) has a net weight of approximately 60 g. The clear bags are hand-tied with raffia and with a card tag.
Storage: All praline products are delivered with at least a 4 week shelf life. Store at room temperature, away from direct heat or sunlight.
