Each month the chocolate fairies vote for a limited edition flavour of chocolate bar. For July we went for a peppery twist on the classic salted caramel. This milk chocolate bar is flavoured with crunchy little nuggets of golden caramel seasoned with salt and pepper. The sweetness of the caramel is perfectly balanced by the savoury salt, while the pepper adds a delicate punch. Well we LOVE this bar and we hope you do too! Ideal for end of term 'Thank you teacher' gifts as well as a perfect post-exam/school report nibble.
Each of our bars is lovingly hand crafted by our little team of chocolate fairies in our rural Warwickshire parlour.
To make this bar we first expertly temper a large vat of our sustainably sourced smooth signature milk chocolate. This involves melting chocolate couverture to exactly the correct temperature that it pre-crystallises, thus ensuring that ‘melt-in-the-mouth’ smooth texture when eaten. Once tempered the chocolate is mixed with the crunchy, seasoned caramel pieces and poured into chocolate bar moulds. The smell in our workshop while we work is amazing! The moulds are cooled in a temperature-controlled unit. The final stage is for the bars are popped out and packaged with care.
We believe in simple, natural flavours derived from real ingredients, with no nasties added. This, along with the care and attention we give to each individual product- from sustainably sourcing ingredients and packaging, to production and boxing up to be shipped- really sets our chocolate apart from the highstreet ‘norm’.
We are proud that this is a plastic-free product. The clear, Natureflex bags in which both the 40 g and 100 g bars are protected can be responsibly disposed of in household waste, where, over time, it will degrade without harm to the environment. The card boxes in which the 100 g bars are presented can be recycled. You can read more about our packaging here.
Plastic-free, Suitable for those on a vegetarian diet
Ingredients: milk chocolate (cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, whole MILK powder, emulsifier: SOY lecithin, natural vanilla flavouring), caramel (sugar, glucose syrup, MILK, RSPO palm oil, BUTTER oil, natural flavouring, carnauba wax, vegetable oil), pepper, salt
Allergens: MILK, SOY.
May contain traces of nuts and other allergens which both ourselves and our suppliers use in other products.
Weight: Choose from 3 /10 x 40 g bars (each bar individually packaged in a clear Natureflex bag, labelled with a paper sticker (net weights of 120 g/400 g)) OR 1/3 x 100 g bars (each individually packaged in a clear Natureflex bag inside a card presentation box (net weights of 100 g/300 g)).
Storage: All solid chocolate bars are delivered with a min. 3 month shelf life. Store at room temperature, away from direct heat or sunlight.
