The Jester in Shakespeare's work always plays the fool- a character designed to make the audience smile and relax- and these mojito chocolate truffles certainly live up to their name-sake! They are simply, playfully delicious!
Encased within a crisp white chocolate shell, our signature, dreamy white chocolate ganache is flavoured with Shakespeare's Distillery Jester rum, peppermint and lime- the perfect cocktail for a relaxing evening with friends (or nibbling on during the day!)

We've been making truffles and caramels flavoured with Shakespeare's Distillery gin for a few years now and so we were super excited when, in 2020, they started to distill their own rum too- Jester Rum. We love the team at Shakespeare Distillery - one taste of their spirits and you'll see why! It's an honour to make truffles using their products and they are a firm customer favourite.
Two years into a pandemic and we all need to let our hair down! Hence, inspired by gradually being able to enjoy a few fun cocktails after work again and catch up with friends we've not seen for ages, the idea of a Jester Mojito chocolate truffle was born! The creamy white chocolate, rum flavoured ganache and refreshing hit of peppermint and lime are perfectly complementary, and just like mojito cocktails themselves, you'll be left wanting more! :-)
The oval shells themselves are crafted on site using our signature, and sustainably sourced white chocolate, beautifully tempered by our expert chocolatiers. This gives the chocolates their stunning shiny exterior and deliciously chocolate-y ‘bite’. The top is decorated with an ornate cocoa-butter design for an exquisite finish.
The filling of these delicious mojito truffles is made using a blend of our signature creamy, smooth white chocolate and fresh dairy cream sourced from local cows. The filling is flavoured with a liberal splash of Jester White Rum from Shakespeare's Distillery and peppermint and lime essential oils. Each centre is piped while still warm into its white chocolate shell and left to cool. Once the ganache has cooled, the centres are sealed with a layer of chocolate ready to be lovingly packaged and sent to you.
We are proud that this is a plastic-free product. The clear, Natureflex bags in which your truffles arrive can be responsibly disposed of in household waste, where, over time, it will degrade without harm to the environment. The card labels can be recycled. You can read more about our packaging here.

Ingredients: white chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, whole MILK powder, emulsifer: SOY lecithin, natural vanilla flavouring), CREAM, sorbitol, invert sugar, liquid glucose, BUTTER, Jester rum, peppermint oil, lime oil, non-AZO colours
Allergens: MILK, SOY.
May contain traces of nuts and other allergens which both ourselves and our suppliers use in other products.
Weight: each bag (containing 8 truffles) has a net weight of approximately 80 g. The clear bags are made from Natureflex (plant-based), hand-tied with raffia and with a card tag.
Storage: All truffle products are delivered with at least at least a 4 week shelf life. Store at room temperature, away from direct heat or sunlight.
