Environmentally friendly chocolate Advent calendars - not just for the children. We all deserve a treat during December and what better way to get in the festive spirit than to enjoy one of our handcrafted artisan chocolate treats each day of Advent without the guilt that comes with piles of plastic packaging.
There's even a vegan chocolate advent calendar option that comes in deliciously smooth dark chocolate to enjoy.
Every chocolate is individually hand made and will, therefore, differ from those pictured above. The chocolate shapes are packed in a cardboard divider to keep them in the right windows; a layer of recyclable aluminium foil keeps the shapes fresh and is easily pierced after opening the Advent door. To make your daily treats we first expertly temper a large vat of our sustainably sourced signature chocolate. This involves melting chocolate couverture to exactly the correct temperature that it pre-crystallises, thus ensuring that ‘melt-in-the-mouth’ smooth texture when eaten. The molten chocolate poured into our special Christmas chocolate moulds; we have a wide variety of different shapes so you'll never know what you are going to find behind the next door!
After cooling in our special temperature controlled unit, the final stage is for the shapes to be popped out, foil wrapped and hidden in your calendar.
We believe in simple, natural flavours derived from real ingredients, with no nasties added. This, along with the care and attention we give to each individual product- from sustainably sourcing ingredients and packaging, to production and boxing up to be shipped- really sets our chocolate apart from the highstreet ‘norm’.
After eating, both the aluminum foil and card calendar box can be responsibly disposed of in household recycling, or if you are creatively inspired you can re-use them in art work with the children/grandchildren over the Christmas holidays!
