Insanely hot! Carolina Reaper Chilli truffles!
Are you brave enough to try these balls of deliciously hot chocolate fire? The ultimate chilli-lovers chocolate hit, these chocolate truffles are infused with locally grown chillies. They are sure to warm you from the inside, combining the luxurious smoothness of our signature Belgium chocolates with a fire-y finish.
The chillies used to flavour the bars are grown by Charlye and Cecile Woolman in their market garden in Dorridge, a local village (less than 10 miles from our chocolatierie). The plants start off on a windowsill in the house very early in the year and move out into an unheated greenhouse when the weather warms. The bright red chillies start to ripen in late July and there is a wonderful glut for the rest of the growing season.
The chillies are delivered fresh to us in Wootton Wawen, where we dry them to preserve their flavour. Cocoa butter infused with the dried chillies to mixed with our beautifully smooth signature dark or milk chocolate to give it's fire-y kick. Of course, each batch is taste tested for heat. Carolina Reaper chillis are the hottest British grown chilli variety we can find and certainly take no prisoners!
Each bag contains 6 handmade chilli chocolate truffles: three hand rolled to finish in white chocolate and three finished with milk chocolate. The truffles arrive to you in a clear cellophane bag with a raffia tied tag on the top. They make great gifts for foodies.
Allergens: all our chocolates contain SOY lecithin, a natural emulsifier which gives the chocolate its smooth taste and texture.
The truffles are made with real, locally sourced, fresh dairy cream and butter.
All of our chocolates are made in an area where nuts and other allergens are used and hence there is a minor risk of trace contamination. Please contact us for further information if you suffer from a severe allergy.
