A grown up, little piece of chocolate fun. The chocolate roulette contains 16 chocolate thins, made from our signature, smooth dark Belgium chocolate. One of the 16 thins has been infused with the very fire-y Carolina Reaper chilli- the question is which one???
There is no way to tell until you take that first bite! Are you brave enough??
The chillies used to flavour the chocolate thin are grown by Charlye and Cecile Woolman in their market garden in Dorridge, a local village (less than 10 miles from our chocolatierie). They just happen to have a large greenhouse in their garden (it used to be used for chrysanthemums and now it's put to great use growing chillies for our chocolate bars). Cecile and Charlye start the plants off on a windowsill in the house very early in the year and move them out into an unheated greenhouse when the weather warms. The bright red chillies start to ripen in late July and there is a wonderful glut for the rest of the growing season.
The chillies are delivered fresh to us in Wootton Wawen, where we dry them to preserve their flavour. Cocoa butter infused with the dried chillies to mixed with our beautifully smooth signature dark chocolate to give it's fire-y kick. Of course, each batch is taste tested for heat. Carolina Reaper chillis are the hottest British grown chilli variety we can find and certainly take no prisoners!
Allergens: all the chocolates contain SOY lecithin, a natural emulsifier which gives the chocolate its smooth taste and texture.
The chocolate thins are made with no dairy containing ingredients and so are suitable for those on a vegan diet.
All of our chocolates are made in an area where nuts and other allergens are used and hence there is a minor risk of trace contamination. Please contact us for further information if you suffer from a severe allergy.
